The position of Sr. Claims Specialist exists to support the overall strategy of the agency to provide tailored, full-service insurance programs to its clients. The Sr. Claims Specialist assists the client by managing the claims process and negotiating on behalf of the client to mitigate losses. Duties and responsibilities include: Report new claims to clients’ primary and excess insurers; Manage the claims process by assisting clients and brokers on coverage issues; Follow up with insurers on coverage, reserves and status of open claims and communicate status with clients; Negotiate with insurers on clients’ behalf when appropriate and recommend defense counsel and settlement opportunities; Coordinate and initiate communication between clients and insurers through correspondence and conference calls; Serve as client advocate with insurers; Enter timely, detailed documentation on all transactions and communications into the agency’s management system; Communicate client-focused loss control strategies with Sr. Loss Control Representative on a regular basis to reduce claims; Coordinate with Workers Compensation insurers on managing claims, setting reserves and assisting in production and contingency goals; Any other tasks as assigned to support and service the agency’s clients. Preferred experience/education: 7 years in liability in the insurance industry, Applied system, construction experience, bachelors degree, appropriate insurance licensure.
Account Executive -Personal Lines:
Support the overall strategy of the agency to provide tailored, full-service insurance programs to its clients. The Account Executive assists the client with recommendations to appropriate insurers and coverage and identifies and implements best practices processes and procedures to maximize the productivity and profitability of the personal lines department. Primary duties and responsibilities include: identify and contract with appropriate insurers for the agency; meet with insurer markets to define production goals, determine product fit and identify efficient processing methods; service existing clients; cross sell from commercial accounts; establish and implement new business marketing strategies for the department; assist with the claims process as an advocate for the client; follow up with insurers on coverage placement and change requests; set up best practices department processes and procedures; coordinate and initiate communication between clients and insurers through correspondence and conference calls; set up automated interface processes between insurers and the agency’s management system; enter timely, detailed documentation on all transactions and communications into the agency’s management system; oversee appropriate licensing and appointment requirements; any other tasks as assigned to support and service the agency’s clients. Preferred Skills, experience and education: Possess strong time management and organization skills for prioritizing multiple projects and meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively using verbal and written skills. Strong analytical skills for working with highly detailed information. 5 years of personal lines experience in the insurance industry. Key account experience preferred. Applied Systems, Microsoft Excel and Word. Management experience preferred. High School Diploma or GED. Bachelors’ Degree preferred, or equivalent experience. Active Property & Casualty; Personal Lines license required.
